Julian Cowie    Guitar

"Julian Cowie's playing was dramatic yet controlled, a most convincing, musical performance, " Julian Bream (in the Bream Prize-highly commended) This year has seen the release of Julian's first CD Craigenroan and Other Tales which has sold in this country, Holland, USA, and Japan. It is a combination of well known guitar pieces, folk songs and original compositions (reviews-" I would heartily recommend it to anyone,…..Very enjoyable, sincere playing with originality and heart. Uplifting, moving and affirming). In his busy concert schedule Julian has played Classical and Jazz guitar at The Cannizaro Park Festival, a tour of Scotland including The Findhorn Universal Hall, The Edinburgh Festival, Hampton Court for the Mayor of London at The Apothecaries Hall and a performance on BBC Scotland plus many other venues. He has been active in fund raising for The Michael Steiner School (£700), charity work Breakthrough for Cancer (£500) and has performed in many old peoples homes across London Future plans include concerts for cello and guitar, a words and music project on the life of JS Bach. He is also working on his second CD which will be Scottish and Russian folk songs with Italian opera for Soprano, Baritone and guitar



Mark Claydon    Drums

Mark is much in demand as a drummer in the U.K. His flexible skills mean he is comfortable in all styles of music, preferring jazz and funk fusions. As a touring drummer, Mark has visited France ,Belgum, Spain, Italy, Sweden as well as many UK dates. Mark has performed and /or recorded with: Liberty X, Paolo Negri, Still Time, Paprika Soul, The Gene Drayton unit. ,Love Jam, UK Jack, Andy Spiller, D'arcy, Alan Barnes, Urban Clearway, Hakan Tuna, Emma Wilkinson ,The Gate House Sun, The Deltones , Dubwiser, James Earp, RV’s Big Band, Soultraders, The Matt James Band, The Get Up, Orgestra. Mark has also worked with various record/production companys such as : 1, BBC 2, Virgin Records 3, EMI Records 4, Telstar Records 5, Adelphoi Productions 6, Goal Productions Recorded work also includes T.V commercials and various background music. Currently Mark is teaching approximately 50 students a week, which also includes 3 visits to local schools. Workshops and master classes take place regularly. Equipment endorsements currently include Premier Drums, Bosphorus Cymbals and Protection Racket Cases. The future includes continuing tours with the Gene Drayton Unit with an Europe tour to be anounced in the spring 07 . Continued session work with many artists and continuation with his busy educational program.
Jeremy Attwood     Bass

Jeremy started his musical life singing for Prince Charles and Lady Diana at their engagement. He has played Double Bass for Acker Bilk, John Ozric (Ozric Tentacles), Lord Mehuin, Simon Rattle, John Lill. At Uni he formed a Jazz band with Clive Jenner (drummer for Van Morrison/ Lenny Kravitz and Dido). Also song writing sessions for Christian James from Halo James. Promotional playing for Tank Management, recording session for ITV and playing for Tsunami benefit for ITV. Toured in Europe and tutored by Eddie Harvey. Jeremy is also found teaching in the mud at Glastonbury festival and Guilfest.
Tony Barber    Drums

Tony Barber started playing drums before leaving school. Initially playing as an amateur and semi-pro, his first fully professional job was a summer season in the Channel Islands. On his return he established strong connections in the West End music scene as a freelance player, his work including residencies at the Savoy, the Park Lane Hilton, Inn On The Park and the Cafe de Paris. Tony has also played on many of the international cruise liners. For some years he was employed by the Joe Loss, Sydney Lipton and Nat Temple agencies and in consequence his work was very varied, including stage shows - cabaret - night clubs - jazz clubs and all types of social function. In recent years he has developed his vocal talents singing the standards repertoire. He now lives on the London/Kent border.
Robert Bird     Piano

Pianist Robert Bird began playing in his late teens and initially took up classical repoitoire however he was very soon drawn to swing and jazz based music. He has played in the Dorchester, Hilton and Savoy, and Cafe Royale. Robert is a regular visitor to the USA and has played in Los Angeles and Palm Springs and guests annually at the Ramatuel Jazz festival held on the St Tropez peninsula. He has toured Europe and has played regularly for society weddings in London and has allowed him to return to his preferred musical setting of the small group.
